Panther Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a large HRIS contract, based in Northern Virginia (Dulles corridor). The roles will be full-time, you will be an employee of our client company, not contractors. THIS POSITION IS DESIGNATED AS SECURITY ASSESSED - CANDIDATES MUST HAVE US CITIZENSHIP AND HAVE OR BE ELIGIBLE FOR SECURITY CLEARANCE STATUS. Provides high level support to contract operations by supervising network engineers, advising contract managers, automation technical experts, and solving complex network problems.
Analyzes test data and recommends hardware or software for purchase.
Identifies areas of operation, which need upgraded equipment, such as modems, fiber optic cables, and telephone wires.
Tests and evaluates hardware and software to determine efficiency, reliability, and compatibility with existing system.
Reads technical manuals and brochures to determine equipment, which meets establishment requirements.
Monitors system performance.
Conducts survey to determine user needs.
Develops and writes procedures for installation, use, and solving problems of communications hardware and software.
Visits vendors and reviews literature to learn about available products or services.
Assists users to identify and solve data communication problems.
Trains users in use of equipment.
Minimum of 10 years experience in the field and minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree.
