Warehouse Systems Technical Administrator / Northern Virginia / 70 – 90k

The Warehouse Management Systems Technical Administrator will be the primary support resource for all issues related to Information Service’s support of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).  This involves trouble shooting all WMS technologies to resolve associate problems, prioritizing the urgency of issues and teaching the first level IS operations help desk how to recognize and resolve repetitive challenges. This position will support the user community with training and technical assistance beyond the first level operations help desk.

Company Interfaces:

The position reports directly to the Manager of Technical Operations.  The position has no direct reports but will have responsibility for ensuring all WMS systems are operational and meeting the Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with the Warehouse leadership.

The position will interact daily with the Warehouse Management leadership team, IS Operations, and IS Developers.  There will also be regular contact with Manhattan’s support resources and other vendors supporting software tools and hardware platforms related to WMS activities.

Key Performance Measurements:

1.            Maintain system stability & maximize uptime for all Warehouse Systems to achieve agreed upon SLAs.

2.            Research, evaluate and introduce repeatable and scientific procedures in support of  WMS SLAs.

3.            Improve efficiency of trouble shooting, identifying and implementing new processes and procedures to shorten problem resolution time.

4.            Standardize Technical Operations team members’ responses to repetitive WMS problems through common tools, knowledge and training.

General Responsibilities

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:

1.            Identify and implement procedures and techniques to efficiently troubleshoot WMS system issues.

2.            Interface with peer IS resources to learn, teach and share WMS problem resolution skills.

3.            Find resolutions for all problems not solved by first level Operations help desk technicians and when necessary, propose techniques or tools to eliminate the problem from happening in the future.

4.            Educate junior level technicians to train end users to become self sufficient on technology.

5.            Interface with vendors to solve problems and present solutions to better the client company's use of technology.

6.            Support systems after regular business hours and on weekends as needed.

7.            Perform other tasks as assigned by manager.

Qualifications Required:

The Warehouse Management System Technical Administrator will have a well-rounded working knowledge of Warehouse Management System technical infrastructures.
